About Course
Overview This qualification develops the practical and theoretical skills required to provide professional manicure and pedicure treatments to National Occupational Standards. Covering health and safety, client care, anatomy and physiology for nail treatments, and the delivery of manicure and pedicure services, it prepares learners to work professionally in the nail and beauty industry.

- Hours: 230 Guided Learning Hours
- Total Qualification Time: 350 hours

Assessment All units are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. Assessment includes written assignments, A&P Pack knowledge assessments completed under controlled conditions, and observed practical skill assessments. Learners have a maximum of three attempts at the A&P Pack.
Requirements/Instructions
- Learners must attend all scheduled sessions including practical salon sessions
- All assignments and A&P Packs must be completed by the required deadlines
- All practical work must be completed in a Realistic Learning Environment (RLE) meeting OTHM standards
- Learners must have access to salon equipment and products as specified by the centre
- Academic integrity must be maintained at all times
Progression and Career Outcomes Progression to the OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or further beauty therapy specialisms. Career opportunities include nail technician, beauty therapist and salon professional.
