About Course
Overview This 240-credit qualification combines the OTHM Level 4 and Level 5 Diploma in Cyber Security into a single accelerated programme — equivalent to two years of undergraduate study. It takes learners from foundational computer science, mathematics, networking and operating systems through to advanced specialist areas including ethical hacking, digital forensics, malware analysis and AI-driven security. On completion, learners are eligible for direct entry to the final year of a UK Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security or Computer Science.

- 18 to 24 Months (Full Time)
- Hours: 1200 Guided Learning Hours
- Total Qualification Time: 2400 hours
Module Structure Covers all 12 mandatory units from both the Level 4 and Level 5 Diploma in Cyber Security for a combined total of 240 credits.
Assessment All units are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. Assessment is via assignment submission only. No exams.

- All assignments must be submitted by the deadlines provided
- Learners must have access to a computer capable of running virtual machines and security lab tools
- Academic integrity must be maintained at all times
- Practical lab work may require access to virtual environments and security testing platforms
Progression and Career Outcomes Direct entry to the final year of a UK Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security or Computer Science at universities including Northumbria, Arden, Coventry, Staffordshire and Sunderland. Career paths include cyber security engineer, ethical hacker, penetration tester, digital forensics investigator, SOC analyst, threat intelligence specialist and information security manager.
