About Course

Overview This beauty therapy qualification is aimed at learners aged 16 and above, with or without a formal background in beauty therapy, who wish to gain access to additional study of advanced aesthetic treatments at Level 4 and above. Learners develop knowledge and skills in client consultation and care, basic health and safety, and anatomy and physiology for non-medical aesthetic treatments. The qualification also provides the opportunity to develop practice skills required for working within the beauty therapy and non-medical aesthetics sector.

Total Course Duration

  • Up to 12 Months (Full Time or Part Time)
  • Hours: Minimum 180 Guided Learning Hours
  • Total Qualification Time: 360 hours

Assessment All units are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. Assessment is based on the achievement of all specified learning outcomes. No exams.

  • All assignments must be submitted by the deadlines provided
  • Learners must have access to a computer or device with internet connection
  • Academic integrity must be maintained at all times
  • Practical elements must be completed as directed by the delivery centre

Progression and Career Outcomes Progression to the OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Contemporary Skin Rejuvenation. Career opportunities include beauty therapist, aesthetics practitioner, salon or spa therapist and skincare consultant.
