About Course
Overview This qualification develops the management knowledge and business skills required to run and lead a successful hair and beauty salon. Covering health and safety management, client care, sales, public relations, finance and salon operations management, it equips learners with the practical business competencies needed to take on supervisory and management roles in the hair and beauty sector. Equivalent to Year 1 of a UK Bachelor’s degree, this qualification supports progression into higher education and senior industry roles.

Assessment All units are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. Assessment includes written assignments, Unit Packs under controlled conditions and portfolio evidence. No exams.

- All assignments and Unit Packs must be completed by the required deadlines
- Access to a salon or Realistic Learning Environment is required for practical assessments
- Learners must have access to a computer or device with internet connection
- Academic integrity must be maintained at all times
Progression and Career Outcomes Progress to Year 2 of a UK Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or Hair and Beauty Management. Career opportunities include salon manager, beauty business owner, regional manager for a hair and beauty chain, and spa and wellness centre manager.
