About Course

Overview This qualification develops learners’ understanding of policy, management theory and practice in education. It equips learners with the knowledge and skills to work as an effective administrator or manager in the education sector, covering leading change, effective performance, lifelong learning, resource management, planning and accountability, reflective practice and team leadership.

Please note: This qualification does not enable learners to apply for QTLS or become a recognised qualified teacher, but it does provide the knowledge and skills to work in a variety of education administration and management roles.

Total Course Duration

  • 12 Months (Full Time)
  • Hours: 600 Guided Learning Hours
  • Total Qualification Time: 1200 hours

Assessment All units are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. Assessment is via assignment submission only. No exams.

  • Learners must attend all scheduled sessions or engage fully with online learning materials
  • All assignments must be submitted by the deadlines provided
  • Learners must have access to a computer or device with internet connection
  • Academic integrity must be maintained at all times
  • Learners must engage with the recommended reading and resources provided

Progression and Career Outcomes Progression to the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Teaching and Learning or direct entry to the final year of a UK Bachelor’s degree. Career opportunities include education manager, training manager, curriculum lead, learning and development manager and quality assurance coordinator in education.
