About Course

Overview This IOSH-accredited qualification is designed for learners developing into senior roles responsible for managing health and safety policy and practice within organisations. It covers the legal and regulatory background to health and safety policy, assessing and implementing policy changes, risk and incident management, and promoting a positive health and safety culture. Individuals successfully completing this qualification will be eligible to apply for Certified (CertIOSH) membership of IOSH.

Total Course Duration

  • 4 Months (Full Time / Flexible delivery available)
  • Hours: 120 Guided Learning Hours
  • Total Qualification Time: 320 hours

Assessment All units are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. Assessment is via assignment and portfolio of evidence. No exams.

  • Learners must attend all scheduled sessions or engage fully with online learning materials
  • All assignments must be submitted by the deadlines provided
  • Learners must have access to a computer or device with internet connection
  • Academic integrity must be maintained at all times
  • Learners must engage with the recommended reading and resources provided

Progression and Career Outcomes Progression to the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management. CertIOSH membership eligible on completion, with pathway to Chartered membership (CMIOSH) via IOSH IPD process. Career roles include health and safety manager, safety compliance officer and workplace safety advisor.
