About Course

Overview This postgraduate-level qualification develops learners’ understanding of policy, management theory and practice in health and social care. It provides an opportunity to engage with the challenges facing professionals, service users and policy makers in the sector. The qualification combines theoretical and practical knowledge in areas of leading change, effective performance, planning and accountability and team leadership, preparing learners for senior management roles or Master’s level study.

Assessment All units are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. Assessment is via assignment submission only. No exams.

  • Learners must attend all scheduled sessions or engage fully with online learning materials
  • All assignments must be submitted by the deadlines provided
  • Learners must have access to a computer or device with internet connection
  • Academic integrity must be maintained at all times
  • Learners must engage deeply with academic literature and current health policy

Progression and Career Outcomes Progression to Master’s top-up programmes at universities including Arden, Northumbria, Cardiff Metropolitan, Coventry, Teesside, Sunderland and University of Hertfordshire.
